MARK TIDD - Founder & Managing Partner
As the driving force behind the creation of OneVentures, Mark's vision is aligning Idaho-based small businesses with local leaders and investors to provide successful ownership transitions and long-term value creation.
Mark was founder and CEO of TitleOne Corporation, a leading provider of title and escrow services in Idaho. Under Mark's leadership, TitleOne developed a statewide presence with 13 branches serving 14 counties with $40M in annual revenue. TitleOne became known for world-class service and was recognized for its winning culture with nine consecutive years in the top five for Best Places to Work in Idaho and as the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year.
Committed to giving back to the community, Mark has served on various advisory boards. This includes serving as chairman of the Boise Valley Economic Partnership and director of the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce.
Mark holds a BS in Finance from the University of Idaho and MBA from Boise State University. He lives in Meridian, Idaho, with his wife, Heidi, and their dog, Vandal. They have three adult children, all boys, and enjoy spending time in McCall boating, golfing, and fishing.
KURT GUSTAVEL - Founding Partner & Chief Investment Officer
As a leader in the Idaho finance industry, Kurt's experience includes raising capital, navigating economic cycles, evaluating and financing small to medium sized businesses, and advising business owners in planning, execution, financing, mergers, and owner transitions.
As President and CEO of Idaho Independent Bank (IIB), Kurt led IIB's market expansion including oversight, site selection, construction, recruiting, and execution. With Kurt's leadership, the IIB team grew to 200+ with 11 Idaho locations and assets of $725M. IIB became known as a relationship bank with dedicated employees and outstanding customer service. Kurt led the public offering and 2019 merger of IIB with First Interstate Bank, which was one of the top US bank deals in 2017-2019.
His experience includes affiliation and leadership within numerous organizations including the State of Idaho Land Endowment, Idaho Bankers Association, Idaho Community Bankers Association, and Young Presidents Organization.
Kurt holds a BS in Business Information Systems from the University of Idaho, Magna Cum Laude, and is a graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Kurt and his wife, Leanne, have two sons. He enjoys running and hiking in the Boise foothills.
BOB WHEELER - Founding Capital Partner
Bob is Co-President of Cutting Edge Landscape (CEL). He founded CEL in 1995 and under his leadership the Cutting Edge team built a reputation of unparalleled service excellence and achieved industry-leading profitability. In 2015, Bob facilitated a merger with a local landscape company and within three years annual revenue doubled (compared to post-transaction revenue). In 2018, CEL partnered with a private equity group and acquired a Utah landscape company in 2019. CEL is actively seeking to acquire other landscape companies in the western US.
Under Bob's leadership, CEL quickly raised the industry bar and became the market leader in Idaho. The CEL team is currently 250+ and maintains its leadership position in the Idaho market by providing top-tier service and employee opportunities, programs, and benefits superior to the norm in the industry.
Bob holds a BS in Economics from Boise State University. He lives in Eagle, Idaho, with his wife, Tamera, and they have two grown sons. Bob is an avid golfer and enjoys time with friends and family.
